Abbot Babbit is the Abbot at St. Fred's. Babbit studied at several Benedictine monasteries, including Abbey Normal, where he was ordained as a priest. Before that he worked for ten years as a manager at a department store.

Being a no-nonsense sort of Abbot, he made it a point to inspect the belongings of every new entrant to his monastery. While this usually helped to eliminate weapons and contraband, it turned out to be a mistake when he removed a suspicious looking smelly green rabbit's foot from backpack of Oren Otter. Said item transformed him into a bunny rabbit.

The abbot is squatty and short, with large floppy ears and a slight resemblance to Radar from MASH. He often wears a robe.
